Napa in the Fall

We've never been to Napa.  An hour and a half away, and yet, we've never been.  Then that earthquake happened, the one we didn't feel, the one that worried some of my Facebook friends, the one that made my phone receive lots of texts, when it usually doesn't.

Well, yesterday seemed like just as good of a time as any to head to Napa.  We had absolutely no idea what we would be doing, but we headed there anyway.  We did know we wouldn't be heading to any wineries with The Redhead, but that's most of what we knew.  First, we stopped at a pumpkin patch, the only thing we did have planned.  It was free, which was an added bonus.

It was a tiny, yet wonderful little pumpkin patch.  We also bought a few things.  After that, we headed to find a park.  It took us three tries, but we finally found one worth picnicking.

After lunch, The Redhead played on the playground for a while, then we headed to some shops.

So far, what we've seen of Napa is beautiful.  We will definitely be returning to see more.  At least we've been to our first pumpkin patch of the season.

The cat enjoyed our wonders from the pumpkin patch.  That what $11 buys you, and in our opinion, it bought us a lot.  It's a beginning and a lovely way to get us in the fall mood.
