The Lack of Pumpkin Patch Enthusiasm

On Sunday, we picked up The Redhead from a friend's house.  She had an impromptu sleepover the night before and we had an impromptu date night at our favorite Mexican restaurant.  Now that we had her back in our custody we went to the pumpkin patch just as planned.  But something happened.  Something was awry.  There was a lack of enthusiasm. Sure, she doesn't love pumpkin posed pictures as much as her mother, but nothing about the trip was getting any sort of laughs and enjoyment from her, barely even the animals.  Was this is it?  Were we losing our pumpkin patch princess?

She may have been tired from the night before, or maybe it's because we had already visited that small pumpkin patch in Napa, but she was lacking the joy I suppose we expected.  She had this look of being tortured on her face, and although that can happen, she absolutely did not seem to be having any fun at all.  So instead of going to another pumpkin patch as we did last year, we went to the movies instead and watched some trolls.  As important as my traditional pumpkin photos are to me, torturing her for a full day to get them isn't.  Really.

However, we do have photos....

Of course.
