Softball's Over

The Redhead had her first season of softball in California this past spring.  Sadly, I took very few photos, maybe two, nothing worth sharing.  Half of the games we couldn't even attend because The Redhead has Tuesday night vocal classes and they're working on their end of year showcase.  When we signed up for softball, I repeatedly asked them which nights games would be because I didn't want to sign up if we had scheduling conflicts.  They assured me it wouldn't be an issue.  Clearly, it was.

But The Redhead played her Saturday games and a couple Thursday makeup games.  The last time she played softball was in 2013, and she played one game.  Not because we were moving, but because she ended up having a marathon fever spanning over three weeks and that ended her season.  It was a happy event seeing her play again.  She didn't seem to mesh well with her fellow teammates, but missing half the games didn't make that any easier.  And she's shy.

   It was officially over this past Friday.  That's when the girls received their trophies for first place with an undefeated season.  As much fun as it is to watch her play....it's nice to have our weekends free and not have to dash to practices.  Also, after having seasons of softball in the Midwest being in the heat of the summer, how awesome is it that softball is already OVER????!
