We spent Mother's day in Tahoe, so it only seemed appropriate that we spent Father's Day on the coast. We went to our favorite spot, Point Reyes National Seashore. We stopped at IHOP for a lovely Father's Day breakfast and somehow beat the crowds. We left and the space was filled with people just waiting to be seated, there was barely room for us to sneak out. We finally made it to Point Reyes and walked the beach and found so many different tide pools and so many different occupants in those tide pools. We kept walking and walking and discovering so many beautifully wonderful things.
The Redhead rescued this sea star, stranded in the sand and safely placed him in a tide pool.
There's our buried sea star.
By the way, out of all the sunglasses I have recently bought him, the father of The Redhead decided he would steal a pair of mine.
It was an amazing day. Windy, but amazing. We made it home, I baked a pie, and witnessed the most gorgeous skyline. This was our first Father's Day together in California. And it was perfect. We are such lucky people.
